Our Weekend of Making Stuff

My sister Perry and her fiance Justin were here this week for the LPGA qualifying. We spent this weekend hanging out and while the guys watched football and Sienna napped.....Perry and I made stuff.

I already posted the coffee sack dress. Here is another piece of clothing I made for Sienna (it won't get cool here for a while)......by adding a patch to a Target tank top:


I added a little tiny patch to the back of the shirt:


The patches are from this adorable little book of Sukie iron-ons that I picked up at Barnes & Noble last week. I love everything in this book! They are a little difficult to use.....you have to use lots of pressure and they work best on smooth, light colored fabric. 


Here is Perry sewing a halter top in my messy studio:


I made her model it outside so I could get a cute photo.

    OMG that book of iron ons... I seriously am in love :)
    You and your sister look SO much alike it's not even funny. (well from the one or two photos I've seen on here anyway!)
    Lovin the coffee sack dress. Ihave about 200 of them from flea markets and antique stores that I have nothing up my sleeve for... maybe I'll try to refashion them into something nearly as adorable as Sienna's dress :)

    Gosh when I came across your site I can't tell you how HAPPY I was. I was starting to get discouraged with sewing although I love to create things for some reason making them was another story. You make things very easy & simple to understand. Thank you~Thank you

    I saw that book at B&N the other day and considered buying it and didn't. And you are freakin me out a little...I made fish tacos last week, too!!! Great minds must think alike:)

    Beautiful sister and I like her halter top. I found your blog from ucreate. I love your blog and keep checking back. You are very talented. I see the Aeron chair from Herman Miller at your sewing machine....very cool to see, I work for Herman Miller where the chairs are made. Thanks for sharing!
