Announcing Lil Golf Girl Launch!

I just launched my new website Lil Golf Girl! I am so excited. I'll be offering golf related apparel for girls age 0 to 6! I am still working on some other items for it as I write this but please check it out and spread the word! I'll be adding some other products in the next few weeks.

Update: My friend Shari is my FIRST customer! I love her to death ;) Check out her great online boutique Happy Chickadee! Cute stuff there!

So where did Lil Golf Girl come from? Lil Golf Girl is an extension of the Golf Girl line that I started in 2003. (I'll be adding some Golf Girl items to my new site shortly.) I grew up on the golf course in North Carolina surrounded by a family of golfers. My sister Perry Swenson (my inspiration for the original Golf Girl) is a professional on the Duramed Futures Tour. My father Norman Swenson plays the Senior Amateur Tour. Most of my family vacations growing up seemed to be where the best golf courses were....hmmmm. Here is Perry and her fiance Justin recently at the LPGA Corning Classic. Justin was caddying for her....so cute!

My 2-year-old daughter Sienna now has her first real set of golf clubs (thanks to Grandpa) and has started accompanying her Daddy to the driving range and practice green. I wanted to create cute apparel for her to advertise a golf interest that fit the personality of a young girl.

Sienna is wearing the Kiltie Shorts and LGG Signature Tee in the below photo. The shorts are all handmade by yours truly. Don't they look very Scottish? They are regulation length just in case Sienna decides to enter any golf tournaments.

I love my new logo. A graphic designer named Amber Mabe designed it for me and did an awesome job considering I had her running around in circles with a hundred different directions I though I wanted to go with. I found her on Etsy! Visit her Etsy shop if you need any design work!

My friend Josh Jacobson makes the t-shirts for me. He does a great job! Visit his company website J. Carroll

  6. If I didn't want a daughter before, I sure as heck want one now! My biggest pet peeve about golf apparel is it's lack of attractiveness. It seems like everything is "old lady-ish"...so I don't buy it! What about expanding to lil' boys too?! I look forward to seeing more and I will be searching high and low for a little girl to buy stuff for (my sister is pregnant now, we'll find out the sex on the 18th). I'd also love to see Golf Girl stuff...thanks for stopping by my blog!
